Headquarters for KoSho Karate in Arizona. It is located on Oracle and Roger in Tucson,
Arizona (map).

USAKF
Hanshi George Anderson, Shihan Linebarger's teacher heads this organization, based in
Arkron, OH

USKA
Since this organization has dojos in the Southwest, we play with them quite regularly.

Martial Arts for Peace
We have recently begun looking at how we can work with Terrence Webster-Doyle in
his Bully Buster program.

Martial Arts Teachers' Association

Mona Lisa's Sword
Susan and Laura are trained by Mona Lisa's Sword, a network of women and men,
committed to action, advocacy, and the importance of quality personal safety training
as a need in all communities and for all individuals.
The style we do is a uniquely KoSho version of Shuri-ryu. If you are interested in what
else is going on with our Shuri-ryu, here are a few links.

Hanshi Abele's Site
He has videos of the ippons (using the traditional way of numbering them) on his media
page. They are quite similar (but not identical) to the way we do them. Also on the
media page is a very impressive demonstration of sweeps.

Shuri-ryu International Association
Probably the largest association of Shuri-ryu stylists.

The Shuri-ryu Yahoo discussion group
Lots of senior people, folks who have been doing Shuri-ryu for decades join regular
students for good discussions, questions about history, and the occasional argument.

An old video of Vic Moore
(Shuri-ryu, in the white gi) fighting Joe Lewis, one of the legends of karate and
kickboxing. It shows, among other things, how much tournament fighting has changed
over the years.
